As a leader, understanding the gap between how you prefer to express yourself to others versus how you want others to present themselves to you is important. Depending on the size of this gap, perceptions can be misunderstood and lead to unhealthy relationships and poor business results due to confusion, lack of trust, and miscommunication. This leadership assessment measures critical areas of interpersonal leadership traits focused on the magnitude of your desire for inclusion, control, and openness. Each factor is important to solidify healthy relationships globally and across key constituents.

The Hogan Leadership Series consist of three specific assessments. The Hogan Personality Inventory (HPI) assesses a person’s “normal” personality focused on developing stronger leaders and predicting on-the-job success. Included in the Hogan Leadership Series is the Hogan Development Survey (HDS). The HDS focuses on the “dark side” of personality. The HDS provides insights on behaviors to address prior performance issues occurring; detecting “abnormal” behavior that can derail leaders' likelihood of success. Finally, the Motives, Values, and Preferences Inventory (MVPI) looks inside a person’s personality to ascertain their values, motivators, and core goals; pinpointing what drives them to succeed including what work environment(s) makes them more productive.

Benchmarks 360 is a leadership assessment that focuses on three leadership categories: leading self, leading others, and leading organizations. Each category contains corresponding competencies that are comprehensively assessed by the manger(s), peers, customers, direct reports, and the person being assessed. Benchmarks also provides, based on science, derailers that can inhibit on-the-job and future career success. Benchmarks also compares how the person being assessed is "benchmarked" statistically against their peers in specific industries and at the appropriate levels of leadership.

Demonstrating high levels of self-awareness, communicating effectively, building relationships, understanding how your decisions impacts others, and being calm in difficult situations can be a recipe for leadership success. Research shows that EQ, in most cases, is a better predictor of leadership success than IQ. This assessment determines your level of EQ and how you might adjust your leadership style in order to increase your leadership performance and drive results regardless of industry and demographic gaps of leadership preferences.
